The Phinney Ridge Kung Fu Club is a new Seattle branch of Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw International. We teach traditional Northern Shaolin and Northern Eagle Claw Chinese martial arts. Available training includes fast-moving beautiful and powerful forms, weapons, and fighting of all types including point, continuous, full contact, and Chinese-style. Also included in the curriculum are breathing, concentration, meditative, and spirit-enhancing exercises as found in the Shaolin Temple Buddhist Warrior tradition.

Classes are fast-paced, strength building, and fitness-oriented. Self-defense usage and training is immediate, and results of the training-in terms of health, confidence, and spirit brightness-will be felt within a short time. Classes are also fun, exciting, and contemporary, and are conducted within a social atmosphere that reflects modern times.

The Phinney Ridge instructors are members of the Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw National Competition Team and founding members of nationally recognized Team Evergreen, The Evergreen State College's collegiate competitive branch of Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw. They have won numerous medals in forms and various fighting venues and are featured in Inside Kung Fu Magazine's January 2003 issue.
