Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Roars at The 2006 Tiger Balm Internationals (March, 2006)

In their biggest competition of the academic year, Team Evergreen traveled with the National Team up to Vancouver, British Columbia to compete in the Tiger Balm Internationals, a huge internationally recognized event with some of the top competitors on the continent.

Evergreen Kung Fu Shows Their Mettle at the Island Open Championship (February, 2006)

In their first competition of the winter academic quarter, Evergreen’s Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu team traveled by car and by ferry boat to Victoria, British Columbia to compete in their third tournament of the season, the Island Open Championship.

National Team Wins Bid at Rick Cropper’s Mighty River Classic (September, 2005)

Five members of the Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw national competition team descended on Rick Cropper's Mighty River Classic for the third stop on their campaign to tear up the national open martial arts circuit.

2005 Palm Springs International World Karate Championships (September, 2005)

The Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw National Team continued its attack on the open martial arts competition circuit, this time at the 15th Palm Springs International World Karate Championships hosted by Master Julio Arana.

Nate Sonnenberg Takes Another Gold in Vegas (September, 2005)

World Champion forms competitor and Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw instructor Nate Sonnenberg once again won fist place for Traditional Chinese Forms, this time at Barbie Dickenson’s 2005 Las Vegas Legacy open martial arts tournament.

This summer, June 2004, saw the largest gathering of Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw within recent memory. In the first event of its kind since 1999, over 50 practitioners assembled under the banner of Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw International to participate in Summer Camp 2004.

Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Family Re-Unites for Victory in Centralia (March, 2004)

USA Nationals; one of the biggest tournaments of the year for the Northwest region. Seven hundred competitors, intimidating right? Wrong.

Black belts from the national team joined with newcomers to the Bak Shaolin family, and the results were tremendous. The team showed up in force, and dominated nearly every division they entered. With the help of Grandmaster Fu Leung and Sifu Dana G. Daniels the team took home forty-four medals.

2004 Northwest Opens (February, 2004)

2004; a new year, another chance for the Northwest chapter of Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw to repeat history by claiming another victory on the Open Martial Arts Competition Circuit.

Team Evergreen Kung Fu Returns With Victory in Tenino (November, 2003)

On Nov. 8 and 9 at the Washington State National Tournament of Champions in Tenino some of the faces of the Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung Fu team had changed, but the results were the same. Thirteen competitors from Team Evergreen and the Olympia and Seattle branches combined to earn 25 trophies.

Team Evergreen IV Unbeatable at Eatonville Charity Tournament (May, 2003)

The fourth incarnation of the legend of Team Evergreen stormed through Eatonville on Saturday May 10 taking fourteen trophies and two Grand Championships at Jesse Palmer’s annual Eatonville Charity Tournament, an NWMAA sponsored event.

Team Kung Fu Team Caps Off the Year Winning in Eatonville (May, 2002)

The Evergreen Kung Fu Team had a strong showing at the Mount Rainer Invitational tournament in Eatonville last Saturday. Six members of the Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw team competed in forms and fighting, bringing home nine trophies.

Team Grandmaster Fu Leung Visits Evergreen for Seminar (May, 2002)

Grandmaster Fu Leung, founder of the Bak Shaolin Ying Jow Wushu Pai International, recently traveled through Olympia, Washington spending two weeks with his students at The Evergreen State College. During this time, the Grandmaster gave daily seminars on Choy Li Fut technique. His teachings centered around the form 'Four Directions' and its applications.

Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Sweeps Chicago Pro Am – Second Time in Two Months (April, 1999)

The Midwest region's Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Team returned to Chicago for Ralph Peluso's 2nd International Pro-Am Open Tournament on April 24th, only to repeat their victory from the first event of the Pro-Am series on February 7th.

UW Eagle Claw scores thirteen medals at nation's largest karate tournament in Minneapolis. Gold and Silver in Chinese hard style black belt with Dennis Brown running the ring, who says, "Best traditional kung fu I have seen in years." Reininger goes head to head with Jon Valera in grand-championships.

KUNG FU FIGHTING (July, 1998)

A report published in the July 1998 Wushu Kungfu events section, detailing our west coast competition team's excellent victories at the Mortal Combat Challenge '98 in Portland Oregon. Sam Haskin, team captain, took three gold medals including forms grand-championship.

BAK SHAOLIN EAGLE CLAW NATIONAL TEAM DOMINATES FIGHTING AT CLEVELAND GREAT LAKES CHAMPIONSHIPS. (April, 1998) Just published in the January '99 issue of Wushu Kungfu magazine!

A report of our powerful team's victories at Wing Lam's annual tournament. This tournament was covered in a very brief and condensed version in the September '98 issue of Wushu Kungfu and mentions two of our fighters, Greg Rosen and Bob Tyler. A more accurate account of this tournament has been sent to Inside Kung Fu and Wushu Kungfu.

Eagle Claw in America:

A lengthy expository letter sent to Inside Kung Fu and Wushu Kungfu magazines, as yet unpublished, discussing the history of Eagle Claw's development in America and the differences between the various groups. Written by Sifu Dana Daniels and includes direct quotes from Grandmaster Fu Leung. A "must read" for all Eagle Claw enthusiasts interested in the truth.

A letter, published in the August 1997 issue of Inside Kung Fu setting the record straight with regard to one of our European branches in a misunderstanding involving one of the other Eagle Claw families and it's published statements.

Dear Martha:

A critical response, recently sent to Martha Burr, Editor of Wushu Kungfu Magazine, as yet unpublished, regarding her recent article about Lily Lau in the September 1998 issue of her magazine. The letter, written by Sifu Daniels, National Coach, was written on behalf of Grandmaster Fu Leung in order to expose a number of misrepresentations and a lie that Lily Lau has perpetrated with regard to her "ownership" of some schools that are actually Grandmaster Fu Leung's. A very important communication with regard to the most recent developments in the American Eagle Claw community.
